Hans has acted for clients in M&A and joint-venture transactions, single-lender and syndicated loans and intellectual property and commercial transactions. He has advised companies on general corporate matters, long-term charters of Liquefied Natural Gas tankers, shipbuilding contracts and competitive public bidding procedures. Hans has extensive experience with international business transactions with a particular emphasis on Japan, but also involving businesses elsewhere in Asia, in Europe and in the Middle East. 


A cum laude graduate of Tulane Law School, where he was Senior Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, Hans holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the American University of Paris and studied French at the Sorbonne. Prior to attending law school, Hans worked at the Environment Directorate of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris on the implementation of a major multilateral treaty.
